So once again I was just up from my house at Publix by Chateau Elan, and I saw another unique car.
First an E30 320i, now this...
So French I love it...

I really wonder how that gets serviced.

Apparently they’re based on the Nissan Rogue, so maybe the Nissan dealer can get things done.

But the engine and transmission though.

Publix? Did you buy yourself a $27 12-pack of Coke?
Publix jokes will never get old.

It said it had a 2.5 and a cvt. Wouldn’t be surprised if it were the same setup.

How is that even possible

That is a Rogue in French clothing. It is a very cool SUV, has Pano-roof, dual tailgate like a Range Rover and a great Bose sound system.
The new one is also based on the new Rogue but it’s just so much nicer.

Yep. And a $17 rotisserie chicken

That’s not French, It’s a Korean SUV with a Nissan heart:
Is it from Mexico I’m guessing?

In America?

Don’t rain on my parade for something different. It had Ontario plates I assume. Perhaps they were staying at Chateau Elan. Had my 2 year old not been acting like satan, I would have waited and spoken to the owner(s).

Indeed. Brasleton Georgia

Ah, so you’re one of those.

So, a South Korean crossover based on a Japanese platform and sold under a French brand that was sold in Mexico is in the US? Interesting.

Seems like it is, indeed, from Mexico.

Mexico.

They do sell Renaults in Mexico. The plates are Mexican. I believe Coahuila State.
I don’t think Renault sells a full line in Canada anymore. They sure as heck don’t in the US.

Ontario, Canada? Naw, those aren’t Ontario plates...also any Renault that new wouldn’t be legal for import here unless it was owned by somebody in the Forces. There’s a Mexican flag at the bottom-right corner of the trunk lid, so thinking Mexico, where Renault does sell cars.

Nice catch. I feel a bit foolish for that. Either way it was cool to see it.

Indeed. It would appear I didn’t look closely enough at the plates. My mistake.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the rotisserie was $17 at Publix, being serious now.

Walmart and the store I work at (not Walmart or Publix) ftw.

I tend to prefer Kroger, but due to the fact that the closest Kroger is 2-3 times farther from my house, that Publix works in a pinch. Plus, I tend to see all manner of exotic/odd/rare motor vehicles there.
